Keep moving forward

Regardless of whether you are struggling to move on from past problematic relationships, past job failures, past personal disappointments or sexual struggles, remember God has something amazing planned for your life. His plans for you are not hidden in the past it lies ahead. Through Christ Christians are a new creation. Your former self is gone. It’s time to forge ahead. Imagine if Paul, Matthew or David never pressed ahead from their past. They would not accomplish all the great things that the lord had in store for them.

Leave behind all that burden, it will only impede you on your pursuit to faith. How much greater will the blood of Jesus wash you of all immorality?

If you are running a marathon you do not keep your eyes fixed on what is behind you. If you are in an examination room you will not look behind you or side you. Your eyes will be focused on what is ahead of you. Focusing your sight on Jesus will assist you to persevere.

Permit the overwhelming love of God to push you to keep moving ahead. Have faith in the lord. Bawl out to the lord for his guidance for whatever that is troubling you. Say lord I need you right now to help me to move forward. Allow Jesus to be your motivating force. What happened in the past let it stay there. Don’t dwell on it. Press forward.

Leaving the past behind

Isaiah 43:18-19 Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

Trust in the lord

Seek guidance from the lord

Isaiah 58:11 The LORD will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring.

John 14:26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Stop fretting

Matthew 6:27-28 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Abba father, thank you for your mercy. Please help me to move forward. Give me strength and wisdom to look towards you and to see you working in my life. Help me to step into my purpose and let your will be done in my life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
