The power of positive thinking is profound. In fact, the idea that your mind can change your world almost seem too good to be true. Healthy, happy people think about what they want, and how to get it, and having a positive attitude can truly yield those results. It’s not a secret that positive people are more pleasurable to be around, therefore, why not be kind to oneself by becoming positive. The reward is greater in the end.
In light of our present circumstances, we need to be relentless in our pursuit of positivity.
How to think positively?
In order to activate positivity, there is an unwritten process that’s quite simple to follow (no particular order)
- Being grateful– “gratitude is a must” a line from a grammy award winner, Koffee. This reminds me and should remind us that giving thanks is important. Regardless of our circumstances, there is always something to be grateful for. We must not always be grateful for the good, but also think about the not so good and be grateful for it is in these circumstances that we become humbled and start to think positively. The voices of stress, worry, and anxiety are silenced when we realize how much there is to be grateful for.
- Self-image– This is second to none. We must always think good about ourselves and not what others think about ourselves. Always be reminded that you are enough and you are good and you have a purpose.
- Rejecting Negative Thoughts– This ugly beast ( negative thoughts) often rears its head now and again but should never be fed, however, tamed. How do we tame the beast? One positive thinking after another. We must make positive choices, envision positive outcomes, and trust that we will have positive results. We must seek positive thoughts above all else.
- Surround yourself with positive people– This includes you. Hello!!! What good would it do to surround yourself with positive people and you are a “Negative Nancy”. Always gravitate towards people who are humorous and are kind to your spirit and strive to do the same for others.
A frog decided to reach the top of a tree. All the frogs shouted, “It’s impossible, it’s impossible…” Still the frog reached the Top…How? because…he was DEAF and He Thought…everyone was encouraging him to reach the top…
Moral of the story: If you want to reach your goal, BE DEAF to negative thoughts.
We all want to be happy and healthy, and I believe that we can all achieve these goals by remaining positive. Like the frog, we need to be deaf to our negative thoughts- for they are the most damaging- and strive towards the goal of positivity. We have the power to determine how we think and focus our thoughts. Having positive thoughts should be a deliberate action; it should always be that this action is done effortlessly. Therefore, as we go throughout our daily lives may we greet life’s challenges with “Positivity”/ “Positive Thinking”.
