International Asset Services Ltd is seeking suitably qualified individuals to fill the following position:

Information Technology Manager

 

The Mission

The IT Manager’s role is to ensure the streamlined operation of the IT Department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. The IT Manager will plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities.

 

The Outcomes

This position reports directly to the GM/CEO

Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system

Be familiar with network operating system and with all hardware and software.

Train staff about potential uses of existing technology.

Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources.

Maintain and administer Active Directory environment.

Maintain and administer Linux based email server and firewall devices.

Maintain and administer VICIdial predictive dialer suite.

Maintain and administer Avaya IP500 PBX.

Maintain and administer VmWare virtual server.

Perform software, hardware and network maintenance activities.

Liaise with external providers.

Drive the development of the IT infrastructure of the company.

Provide reporting weekly and monthly reports as per necessary extracted from MySQL database.

Maintain log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance.

Input and maintain IP addresses.

Install workstations and load all required software.

Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data processing (EDP) to ensure maximum availability of computer systems throughout the Company.

Responsible for the provision of IT infrastructure services including desktop applications, Local and/or Wide area networks, IT security and telecommunications.

Development and implementation of new systems.

Responsible for IT hardware, software and maintenance procurement.

Develop and maintain a disaster recovery plan.

Develop and control the IT security policy and legal work environment.

Security changes and passwords are only to be given to the CEO.

Any changes to the system must be directed to, and approved by the CEO

 

Knowledge and Skill

Computer hardware and software systems and programs.

Computer networks, network administration and network installation.

Computer viruses and security, email and internet programs.

Computer skills including the ability to operate computerized accounting, spreadsheet, word-processing, graphics and website development programs at a highly proficient level.

Ability to install and administer computer hardware, software and networks.

Knowledge of all Microsoft application (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

Proven experience of managing an IT department.

Experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

 

Qualifications

Tertiary level education in Information Technology. (preferably a B.Sc. in Management Information Systems)

At least five (5) years of overall professional experience.
