Purchasing Officer


  • Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers and Vendors
  • Sourcing materials, goods and services and negotiating the best and most cost-effective contracts and deals
  • Performing inventory inspections and reordering supplies and stock as necessary
  • Inspecting stock and reporting any faulty items or inconsistencies immediately
  • Updating and maintaining records of all orders, payments and received stock
  • Coordinating with delivery team and following up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled


  • At least 2yrs work experience in a Hardware or similar position
  • Excellent interpersonal, human relations and communication skills
  • Sound administrative and organizational skills
  • The ability to identify market trends and make decisions in a high-stress environment
  • Team Player with ability to lead effectively
  • Must be Pleasant and Courteous
  • Able to communicate with person at all levels
  • Excellent networking and time management skills
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Willing to work flexible hours
  • Minimum of 5 CXC Subjects, tertiary education will be advantageous
